AR Sandbox
This is an example of the UC Davis Augmented Reality Sandbox that I built.
This software uses a Microsoft
Kinect 3d sensor to measure the topography of the sand, an nvidia
graphics card to run a cfd simulation of water, and a projector to render
isolines and water on the sand.
Box built out of plywood, 2x6"s and a kreg jig. Not quite new yankee workshop.
Filled up with sand.
The projector is designed to operate off-axis so it's conveniently not in the same spot as the kinect.
A modestly appointed linux box hides below.
